Considering that Slovakia is a country of middle Europe far away of diving destinations, this festival had one more reason to be supported!
I strongly believe that the aim of the festival ”to enable a presentation for authors of underwater photography and filmmakers from underwater environment to present their work” in addition with the parallel cultural and social series of the festival in order to bring close to the public the underwater world are very important.
When the results announced that I am the holder of the Portfolio first award I was thrilled. I have submitted a mixed set of photos taken in Mediterranean and tropical waters including a wreck with a diver in black and white, a snoot photo of a gastropteron, diver and boat silhouette, a photo full of squid eggs with a diver, some of my best macro shots from Lembeh, a split level shot of a diver in an open cave and a photo of a fried-egg jelly fish with my lens looking at the surface.
I want to thank the jury for the portfolio award and wish Scubacam good luck in future festivals.
