My new Underwater Photography Exhibition in Belvedere Vienna

My new photography exhibition opened doors in Vienna!

On February 12th at the foyer of European Patent Office (E.P.O.) building in Belvedere Vienna, started my new u/w photography exhibition of Soulfly collection after a very special opening.

In a very warm and pleasing environment, Dr. Richard Flammer, Principal Director of the Vienna E.P.O. sub-office, opened the exhibition with some very touching words about my photographs and web page: Nicholas Samaras photographs are outstanding examples of perfect taste and quality.

These colourful pictures will help us survive during winter, snow, rain and cold and even during summer holidays. Nichola’€™s Samaras web page is an incredible example of creativity and if you visit it, your opinion about what is an excellent web page will be changed for ever€œ.

Two beautiful opera musicians accompanied the opening with the serene melodies of harp and flute and after opening short speeches there was a very elegant buffet with sushi and sea finger food. The exhibition was organised by AMICALE, who is a committee for social activities at the Vienna sub-office of the EPO, thank to special efforts of Giorgos Savorgiannakis. Among a number of other events and activities, AMICALE has been organising exhibitions with young European artists since 1996. Propose of these exhibitions is to offer young artists the chance to leave their home territories and exhibit their art on a European platform.

This exhibition is also for charity with 10% of selling photographs dedicated to The Cotton Tree Children€™s Trust.  Aim of charity is to establish a new orphanage in Sierra Leon so that roof, food and education will be provided to orphans. Exhibition will be open till 31st of August 2009 and anybody can visit after contacting George Savorgiannakis via e-mail: gsavorgiannakis@epo.org or telephone number: 01-52126 1632

I want to thank again EPO for the hospitality and Amicale and Giorgos for inviting me and organizing everything. Of course I want to thank my dear friends that escorted me to Vienna from Thessaloniki as my own fan club!!
