The scenery there was magic even with hidden surprises for us, as we managed to identify a fan of black coral. After being invited from our friends in Athens, Nicholas Vasilatos and Helen Tsopouropoulou a team of passionate sea explorers and wreck-lovers, we organized a couple of dives in Corinthian Gulf to find out the beauty of the huge gorgonian fans there.
We had to guide us two excellent friend divers George Karelas and Kostas Milionis, who live and dive there. Recently they published some photos of orange and yellow gorgonians so big and bright that we where anxious to see them with our own eyes.
We had a very good planed team dive, awarded with another surprise. Side by side with a huge yellow gorgonian there was a colony of the very precious and rare coral Dendrophilia ramea. This coral in the Mediterranean Sea usually can be found in big depths and secluded places, impossible to reach and photograph.
I want to thank all our friends for their hospitality and their generosity and I wish soon we meet again to discover more underwater treasures.
