Highly commended in GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2013

An everlasting photographer's dream is to win GDT ! Maybe it sounds as exaggeration but it's not.

GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year is in global top five international contests about nature photography, with thousands nature and wildlife photographers participating every year, with a very strong jury and absolute high photography standards.

Every year the GDT organizes the huge “International Nature Photography Festival” with slide shows by photographers from all over the world, with photo exhibitions and seminars on latest subjects of the nature photography. During the festival a unique photo market presents innovations of the film and equipment market, customized designs, numerous accessories, books and travels about nature photography. Above that, every year the GDT organizes an internal photo contest “GDT – Nature Photographer of the Year” as well as an open contest “European Wildlife Photographer of the Year”. This year I am very proud to announce that I had two underwater photographs Highly Commented and exhibited in a stunning exhibition hall among some of the most impressive nature and wildlife photographs I have ever seen. Also I was really pleased that I managed to join the award ceremony and opening of the exhibition, so I had the chance to meet in person not only the overall winner of the contest Dr Alex Mustard who’s a pioneer in underwater photography but also many nature and wildlife photographers and visitors. It was a great night! Unfortunately I didn’t stay for the seminars and lectures the following days but next year I will have more days there to spend and enjoy the festival! The exhibition “GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2013” will be shown as a special exhibition in the museum “Mensch und Natur” in Munich until 2nd of March 2014.
