Atlantis Magazine

I was very happy when I received an e-mail from ATLANTIS magazine editor, telling me that they were interested to have a 4 photograph combination of the Gastropteron rubrum for April's issue cover.

These photographs were taken in Aegean Sea at Chalkidiki where specific diving spots have developed impressive inhabitant not so common to the expected Mediterranean Sea environment with great macro findings!

One of them is “Akti Kalogrias” where I have shooted many of my awarded photographs, only one and a half hour from my hometown. The cover’s critter is like a miniature manta with soft belly and large tentacles to swim like flying. The color is bright red and when the rubrum is “landed” on sea bottom the tentacles close the body in a form like a rose.
The great thing about ATLANTIS magazine is that it’s a fancy magazine with illustrated cover and high quality printing but it’s not focused only in the appearance and high divestyle but has a very large variety of content for divers who look beyond the mask edge. Besides thrilling reports, sound medicine, biology, engineering reports, in Atlantis magazine pages you can find additional topics related to diving: eating and drinking in foreign countries, culture and history of travel destinations and much more. Atlantis is published four times a year. It is available in Germany, Switzerland and Austria at the kiosk and dive shops.
