This time the news was about the NELOS Photo and Video Festival 2010 a festival celebrating its 20th edition, where my photo of a jellyfish in black and white won the second prize and a 500 Euros voucher from Hugyfot to buy photo equipment.
Winning always gives me extraordinary feelings and moreover winning in a contest like Nelos which is not only just another contest but an international forum for amateurs and professionals who share their passion for the ocean and marine life, is very important.
In the festival where people from all over the world, to give lectures or to hear the speakers, to be inspired and to watch fascinating images on wide screen and the elite of underwater videography both educational and informative. The lectures and the projections are not merely about underwater photography and videography, but also cover the broad spectrum that characterizes diving technology, equipment, travel, biology, literature, science, etc.
Congratulations to the organising committee with hopes of being able to be present next year.

It is the second time in a month that a friend, actually present in a festival, informs me in real time about a prize won in the contest of the festival! So much better to hear it from a friend than reading it later in a webpage or an e-mail!
