Those two photographs along with one more macro photograph of a “Gastropteron rubrum”, that was not a winner of prize but a winner of beauty, will be exhibited, with the stunning set of the 50 winning underwater photographs from around the world, at the Oceanside Museum of Art in California from April 28th through June 17th 2012 with an Exhibition Reception and Panel Discussion on May 5 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and printed in the annual luxurious exhibition catalogue.
Opened in 1995, Oceanside Museum of Art fosters and promotes the study, appreciation, and understanding of art, with special focus on regional art, through its exhibitions, collections, and educational programs. The museum presents more than twelve individual and group exhibitions of significant local and regional art, as well as special travelling exhibitions of national and international art each year.
Liquid Capture: Masters of Underwater Photography is a juried exhibition presenting the best underwater photographic art from around the world. Organized by renowned photographer Lee Peterson, this exhibition will feature images reflecting five specific categories: Ocean Environment Underwater, Macro, Diver, Ocean Environment Above Water and Marine Mammals.
As I ‘m not travelling to California on this period, I will be more than happy to send 4 guest passes to any friends of underwater beauty that will be in California this time of year and want to visit this exceptional exhibition.
