This year, the Contest ABYSS “City of Venice 2013” had the honor to enjoy the collaboration of Museum of Natural History of Venice. The wish of the committee was that the participating images (previous and present editions) would not remain strictly limited as a photographic contest exhibition but intended to implement Museum’s Archive, to be used for documentation, scientific and didactic purposes. The winning photographs were displayed at the Natural History Museum of Venice from the 12th of October to 3rd of November 2013 and the event was patronized by Regione Veneto, Provincia di Venezia, Comune di Venezia and Scubaportal. I am proud and happy that my photograph was exhibited in this great hall with so many visitors to be admired and I am especially proud because the winning photographs from previous years will become part of the Museum’s Archive.

How great to be notified from the organization committee of 6th International Underwater Photography Contest of Underwater Photography ABYSS ''Citta di Venezia 2013'', that I was among this year's winners.
I have visited Venice three years ago for the award ceremony and I was amazed by the city, the canals, the monuments and this feeling that in this unique place art and creativity are not only history, but present and future. The Organizing Committee supported by Club Subacqueo San Marco, Gruppo Argo and Scubashooters.net, did a great job with the festival and the exhibition.
