Three of my photographs were awarded in Wildlife / Animals category: a portrait fo a lesser weever “Echiichthys vipera” waiting patiently hidden in the sand of Mediterranean Sea for his next meal to pass, under the title “Those eyes”, a yellow “Hippocampus guttulatus” who waits patiently attached by his tail on a “Posidonia oceanica” branch under the title “Staring at the Sun” and a photo of a hydromedousa “Pandea conica” drifting in the current. On the top of the bell, a small parasite, like an astronaut, holding tight on his lifeboat gave the title “The Astronaut”.
My photo under the title “I had a dream” inspired by a surrealistic scene of the film “Le Grand Bleu” was awarded with nomination in Photo Manipulation Category. This composition of two photographs wants to express the need of a sea lover to be close to seabed, feel the water, touch the waves and reach the surface.
This year Fine Art Photography Awards competition received more than 3.994 submissions from 83 countries around the world with amazing images that makes me really proud for the nominations.About the contest: Art is born out of passion. Fine Art photography is a perfect instrument, which allows a person to communicate with the world and share their vision. It results from the author’s deep sensitivity, a need to express feelings through image, a unique view of the surrounding reality. It can be spontaneous, but it can also be a conscious and deliberate manifesto. FAPA is searching for photos born out of passion – your passion.
